Crystal Blue Persuasion

“Crystal Blue Persuasion” by Tommy James and the Shondells (1968) is primarily a song about spiritual awakening and conversion to Christianity, inspired by imagery in the Book of Revelation and Ezekiel. James was drawn to verses which featured depictions of a Blue Shekinah Light, which represented the presence the Almighty God. The song represents a new, peaceful vibration and a “bright future of a brotherhood of mankind”.

Whenever I see something this brilliant blue color, I think of this song and it makes me happy and hopeful!
